Why did my father always cry when I give him good news?

Back in 2004, when I called my father to tell him I passed my exams in my Medical school, he cried tears of joy. He had just finished praying Fajr at that time due to the time difference of Ireland and Malaysia.

Back in 2012, when I passed my Masters in Ophthalmology exams, after my Zuhr prayers, I called my father, and he cried because he was so happy.

Today, as he just returned from Friday prayers, I called him to tell him that my daughter will receive an award tomorrow in school, Alhamdulillah, and we both cried.

Today I understood why he always cry when I give him good news.

Today I finally understood what those tears meant.

Today I felt what he must have felt all those years.

Alhamdulillah Ya Allah, You are Verily Too Kind, The Most Merciful.
